Our Preschool is fully licensed by the State of California and provides a warm and caring environment for the children of the Descanso area and surrounding mountain communities. For over 50 years, Country Treehouse Preschool has seen generations of children thrive through our curriculum and standards. Our preschool staff is committed to providing the best learning and nurturing environment for all children in our care.
In addition to creative and developmental content, the curriculum includes child friendly bible lessons and a special 'Chapel Time' each week with Pastor Julie.
EXCITING NEWS FOR CTP!!
We are delighted to share an exciting new chapter for Country Treehouse Preschool.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional early childhood education, we are evolving our curriculum into a more immersive, nature- and agriculture-based learning experience. Our program will now be known as Little Farmers and Explorers, reflecting our enhanced focus on hands-on, meaningful discovery both indoors and outdoors.
While our approach is expanding, our foundation remains unchanged: Country Treehouse Preschool continues to be committed to the highest standards of early learning, safety, and compassionate, nurturing care. Families can expect the same dedicated teachers and the same strong academic preparation our school has always been known for—now enriched through deeper real-world experiences and exploration.
Through Little Farmers and Explorers, children will engage in purposeful, hands-on learning centered around agriculture, nature, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Students will explore how food is grown, the importance of farming in our communities, and the essential role of pollinators such as bees. They will learn about forests, ecosystems, and farm life through age-appropriate, interactive lessons that spark curiosity and respect for the natural world.
Our STEAM focus will be thoughtfully woven throughout the day, with activities that build early math and science skills through exploration and play. Creative expression will remain a cornerstone of our program, including art inspired by renowned artists and a yearly art showcase celebrating each child’s creativity and growth.
We are also excited to welcome special guest presenters throughout the year, offering children enriching, real-world connections to the topics they are studying.
As part of this transformation, we will be developing our outdoor space to include gardens where children will participate in planting, growing, and caring for food and plants. Over time, we also look forward to introducing a small chicken coop, where children will be able to observe and learn about life cycles and animal care in a safe and supervised environment.
In addition, we are pleased to introduce a new afternoon program option for families. The program will run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and includes lunch, rest time, and continued enrichment through music, art, and gardening activities.
